Welcome to BFKautism, raising awareness, and funds, for the care of Adults with Autism.

Most of us have heard of someone with autism, maybe even know someone, often it's a child of a friend, or family member. But what about when they grow up, does autism just go away when they become adults?

Well if you haven't guessed, the answer is No!

There is support for the children, but what about the adults? This is where organisations such as the Disabilities Trust come in, with specialised facilities across the country. It is they that we are raising funds for, to help those children that did grow up - the Adults with Autism.

To help these adults we are raising as much as we can, starting with £5,000 for the Disabilities Trust's Autism Specific Services - now called AS Partners. This money goes towards improving their facilities, and providing specialist support staff. Of course if we can raise even more money for this worthy cause, then more's the better.

How do we plan on achieving our goal?

We are raising funds through the kind donations of our visitors who have enjoyed our four websites, BFKbooks, BFKmusic, BFKdvd and of course BFKautism. To this end across three of our sites we are providing book, dvd and music reviews, along with interviews from authors and artists, and the occasional short story, or poem for your reading pleasure.

On BFKautism we will be giving a deeper insight into  Autism  and how it effects Adults with Autism. As well as visiting the life of Naomi, and her story. And remember, she is only one of the many Adults with Autism that are out there needing support.

We need your help !

Please help us to spread the word about Adults with Autism and their need for specialised care, and  tell those you know about the BFK family and what we are trying to do. Tell them about the interviews and articles on Autism that they will find in BFKautism.

If you would like to find out more about the BFK family  team, and maybe offer your support, then please read about us, or take the bigger step and contact us.
