During the morning session at the GMC the panel will deliver their verdict. At 11:45 a petition will be presented to the GMC's Chief Exec & Head of Fitness to Practise, Paul Phillips, from thousands of parents and doctors around the world in support of Drs Andrew Wakefield, John Walker-Smith and Simon Murch whose fitness to practice hearing concludes on 24th May. No patient has made a complaint against these top flight specialists, not one single patient was ever harmed by them.
The prosecution is calling for Drs Wakefield and Walker-Smith to be struck from the medical register and for Dr Murch to be suspended based on one journalist's erroneous charges. A travesty for parents of autistic children with chronic bowel disorders.
